General
What is Voyaro?⌄
Voyaro is a travel app that covers inspiration, planning, on-the-go tracking and memories together. Instead of six apps for your trip (maps, notes, bookings, expenses, photos, travel diary), you have one.
Which devices does Voyaro run on?⌄
iOS, Android, macOS and in the browser on any modern device. Your data syncs between platforms once you have Pro.
Does Voyaro work offline?⌄
Yes, fully. All your data lives locally on your device and syncs when you're back online. Maps will be downloadable for offline use too (planned for 2026).
Which languages is Voyaro available in?⌄
German and English at launch. More languages will follow based on user demand.
Account & data
Are my data sold?⌄
No. Voyaro is 100% self-funded via subscriptions. We don't sell data, don't show ads, don't track for third parties. Voyaro has no business model around your data — only around the subscriptions.
Where are my data stored?⌄
In the EU — Frankfurt, Germany (Hetzner + Cloudflare R2 EU). GDPR-compliant, all processors have a DPA with us.
Can I export my data?⌄
Yes, anytime. The Settings area has a Trip Export that gives you all data of a trip as a JSON ZIP — including images. Optionally encrypted with AES-GCM.
Can I delete my account?⌄
Yes. Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. We then wipe all your data permanently (GDPR right to erasure). Published guides stay anonymised for the community — but you can remove them beforehand.
What happens if I don't upgrade after the Pro trial?⌄
You're switched to Free automatically after 30 days. Your data stays — you keep access to all trips, documents, guides. Pro-only features become inactive.
Payment
Do I need a credit card for the trial?⌄
No. 30 days Pro completely free, no payment method. Only when you want to continue with Pro past 30 days do we need payment details.
Can I cancel anytime?⌄
Yes, anytime, no notice period. Your subscription runs to the end of the paid period, then you switch to Free automatically.
Which payment methods are accepted?⌄
Via Stripe: credit card (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx), Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA direct debit. PayPal is coming later.
Do I get an invoice for my Pro subscription?⌄
Yes, automatically after each payment by email. The Settings area has the invoice history for download too.
What's the difference between monthly and yearly?⌄
With yearly billing you save compared to monthly (Pro: €44.99 vs. €60/year — ~25% off; Family: €99 vs. €120/year — ~17% off).
Family plan
How many people fit in the Family plan?⌄
The Family admin plus 4 more members — so up to 5 people total. Members need their own Voyaro account; the admin invites them by email.
Who pays in Family?⌄
The Family admin pays €9.99/month (or €99/year) once. Members pay nothing and get full Pro functionality.
How is storage shared in Family?⌄
200 GB as a shared pool — all Family members draw from the same storage. Voyas, however, are PER person (so 100 Voyas × 5 people = 500 / month total).
What happens if the Family admin cancels?⌄
When the paid period ends, all members switch back to Free. Data stays. Alternatively, the admin can transfer the Family role to another member before cancelling.
Privacy & security
What is the emergency vault?⌄
An encrypted store inside the app for sensitive travel documents: passport, visa, insurance, power of attorney. Everything AES-GCM encrypted with a password only you know — not even Voyaro can read it.
Who can see my trips?⌄
By default only you. Per trip you can invite co-travellers (with their Voyaro account), or publish a public guide — only that one guide is visible, not your private trips.
Is my location tracked?⌄
Only if you turn tracking on per trip. Off by default. Even then, tracking runs locally on your phone — you decide if/when it syncs to the cloud.
Do you have a privacy policy?⌄
Of course, it's mandatory. Voyaro privacy policy.
